Personal Statement

For quite a while, I have shown a reasonable interest in architecture and building course programs. In particular, the mentioning of this intrigues me a lot. Undeniably, I have come to believe that I am passionate about this program. Additionally, I believe my contribution to addressing architecture issues will be of great help. Therefore, I am determined to go for it, simply because I believe in channeling my efforts towards a career that would forever inspire me to do beyond my expectations.

Moreover, I am more than ambitious to pursue architecture and building. Besides, I feel responsible for contributing my ideas to address structural problems in architectural designs. Likewise, the need to offer solutions to architectural studies’ future seems the one thing that drives my aspirations. For instance, I would like to revisit varied architectural designs for buildings to identify how best I could fix the structural flaws. Precisely, doing this would necessitate me to possess the most appropriate education skills and mentoring guidance before attempting to identify the wrongs and further affix them. Fortunately, I think that my love for architecture and building has developed over time in the sense that I believe in the kind of beauty that is derived from design processes. However, the realization of the said design beauty cannot be easily attained without the input of deep-rooted appreciation of the architectural process. Similarly, it would require my vast working experience as an architect. I must embark on an educational journey as the first step in realizing my objectives. Therefore, I find it necessary to undertake an in-depth architectural design study that would run for five years before fulfilling my architectural interest.

Furthermore, I would like to specify the kind of area of research that I intend to focus entirely throughout my study. Likewise, high performance and design building would be my research study area, considering that it shares similar concepts with sustainable architecture. In this 21st century, the need to have sustainable buildings has gathered much prominence in the architectural study. Therefore, this specific field of study would impart a wide knowledge base to understand sustainable building needs like conservation of energy and shift towards green energy. Notably, these sustainable buildings’ requirements are highly prioritized for high-performance designs globally, where governments and lobbyist bodies try to mitigate environmental pollution and other associated effects on climate change. For example, in architecture, building codes and other regulations mandate reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Undoubtedly, I agree that high-performance buildings have been identified as future development trends that meet energy, water, and light efficiency requirements. Therefore, these efficiency issues would resolve resources during building, leading to people-friendly architectural space. Hence I hope to acquire all the needed skills and knowledge throughout the 5-years coursework since I intend to reshape my focus towards future development trends, like users’ economic and energy resources.

To sum up, my architectural knowledge would help impact economic growth and development goals positively. Additionally, as an architectural design practitioner, the capacity to design LEED-compliant buildings congruent with the sustainable and development objectives would be my priority.I would also emphasize water efficiency and user-friendliness as measures of delivering cutting-edge designs, thus offsetting high resource costs. Therefore, through this research process, I would become well-positioned as architectural practitioners to address future economic and development problems.
