The American fiction writer in early American history

The American fiction writer in early American history set the stage for all American writing. Such writers as Washington Irving, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Edgar Allan Poe each had a unique style of writing and focused specifically on certain themes.
Choose two (2) of the above writers and develop an essay on their styles and themes used in the writings.
