Case Study Assignment and Grading Rubric

The Assignment: In addition to the information concerning this assignment in the Project Description in your Syllabus, do the following: Complete the Case Study Analysis of the Circuit City Case delineated in Your Turn on pages 24 & 25 in your textbook. Read the case and analyze it relative to the questions posed in the 3rd full paragraph on the top of page 25 AND complete the following: 1.)Define the issues. Separate the symptoms from the problem. Define the problem, diagnose the cause and explain how you arrived at your definition of the problem. 2.) Analyze the case data. How did the issues arise? Who is/are affected most by the the issues? What do the numbers tell you? 3.) Generate your alternatives. How may the problem be solved? Evaluate your alternatives. What are your key decision criteria regarding your alternatives? 4.) What are your recommendations? What should the leadership of Circuit City have done to fend off their disaster? How would you measure the success of your recommendations?
