Micro biological groups and use of antimicrobials

Produce a report on micro organisms which would have a medical importance .
Include an analysis of antimicrobials in your report and also give a presentation on routes of entry into the body, therefore highlighting methods of prevention the spread of disease
Carry out research into different types of organsisms (bacteria, fungi, virus)
Highlight how a diagnosis can be made for these groups and explain why this is important in a medical context. Refer to prognosis and pathology of specific examples, i.e Escherichia Coli, in your answer. Use diagrams to illustrate your work (500 WORDS APPROX)

Briefly explain the routes of entry of micro organisms discussed in task 1 into the body. (200 WORDS APPROX). One of these routes should be discussed in detail by producing a POWERPOINT presentation. The presentation should last for 5 minutes and should discuss the source and route of infection with an explanation on how natural defences fail.
