Serial killer case studies are comprised of data that has been compiled and analyzed using eight profiling dimensions. Because these eight dimensions are standardized, they allow for accurate and reliable comparison between cases and across criminal justice organizations. In profiling Lucas, Bianchi, and Bundy, what circumstances or characteristics do you think served as their primary motivation to kill, and to keep on killing? Through what dimension are those circumstances and characteristics best explained? In other words, if you had to explain to someone the logic of their behavior, within which dimension would you frame your argument?
