Health Promotion

1. Select and review three event (published within the last 5 years) journal articles (one on each of the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of health promotion) in nursing practice.

2. In the essay please address the following:

a) How is health promotion define?
b) What is the purpose of health promotion in nursing practice?
c) How are nursing roles and responsibilities evolving in health promotion?
d) How do nurses in all areas of nursing implement health promotion?
e) Compare the three levels of health promotion prevention.

Please also include requirements from the grading rubric: THIS IS WHAT THE INSTRUCTOR WILL BE GRADING ON The requirements are the same as above but are more clearer and specific on the paper:

2) Addresses health promotion and purposes of health promotion in nursing practice. (Accurately describes health promotion and the purpose of health promotion in nursing practice)

3) Explains the nursing roles and responsibilities evolving in health promotion. (Providing Examples: clear and
convincing examples present a persuasive claim in a unique and compelling manner, explaining the nursing role
and responsibilities evolving in health promotion)

4) Explains implementation methods for health promotion that encompasses all areas of nursing. (Clear explanation of the implementation methods for health promotion and shows logical progression of how they
encompass all areas of nursing)

5) Compares the 3 levels of health promotion. (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary: the comparison of the 3 levels health promotion prevention is comprehensive. The use of the health promotion prevention levels in the articles
chosen is clear)

6) Conclusion (support articles as reviewed. Covers all areas and points and ties them together in a logical
manner. Include closure statement concerning health promotion and nursing.)
