For this assignment, you are to choose any film (the choices are endless…old film, current film, foreign film, documentary), and discuss how/why that film represents the year/decade it was made. Does the film represent what society was experiencing at the time? Does the film represent a cultural trend that was taking place? Does the film represent a political point of view that is reflective of the time?  Though the essay is based on your opinion of the film and how it fits the time that it was made, you will also have to include a minimum of two specific scenes that particularly stand out to you and bests support your argument.
