Write a brief essay (suggested length: 3 pages) that describes how you would teach rounding with decimals to the nearest tenth.

Before writing your essay, be sure to do the following:

Identify the grade level for which the lesson or activity is designed. (PLEASE use Third grade)

Identify the prerequisite concepts and skills students will have learned prior to your described lesson or activity.

Identify the concepts and skills that will be presented in the lesson or activity.

Identify possible conceptual and/or procedural errors that students might have rounding decimals to the nearest tenth.

Identify specific examples and/or tasks that you could use to check student understanding of rounding with decimals to the nearest tenth and to detect the existence of any possible conceptual and/or procedural errors.
The completed essay should accomplish the following:

Fully describe the activity and tasks.

Identify and articulate conceptual and procedural errors (example problems and/or possible student misconceptions) involving rounding with decimals to the nearest tenth that would be particularly difficult for students to handle. Describe how you would remedy such situations in your classroom.
