Comparing and Contrasting aspects of:The Bluest Eye (Toni Morrison) and The Big Sleep (Raymond Chandler)

Write a research paper comparing and contrasting aspects of Toni Morrison: The Bluest eye and Raymond Chandler: The Big Sleep. You decide how many aspects you compare.
There are a number of similar topics or themes that run through both books: Crime, families, loners , outsiders, death, and madness, among other topics. However, you are free to select your own topics.
Write a thesis that includes both novels. It could look something like this: The Bluest Eye and The Big Sleep are similar in the following areas_____,_____and____. You fill the blanks.
Then using the MLA format, develop your thesis using examples from booth novels. You can quote, paraphrase or summarized. However, make sure use you use parenthetical documentation, that is, citations, (author’s last name page number, etc.) when you quote and paraphrase. You must also include a Works Cited. If you wish, but this is not required, you can bring in outside sources to support your thesis. However, you must document the sources with citations and include them in your Works Cited.
You are required to draw your examples from the complete novels. What I mean by this is just don’t draw your examples from the beginning of the books. You need to include examples from the beginning, the middle and the end of the books. (You will need to use the complete books in order to write a successful essay.)
The essay should be no longer than five pages and no shorter than three pages.
