Instructions

Learning Outcomes:
1. Write a research question and hypothesis from a given scientific article.
2. Determine if the article summarizes a retrospective or prospective study.

Directions:
1. Read the assigned article for your area of study.

2. Create a Word document (.doc or .docx format)  with your name and “Assignment 1” in the top right corner.  Answer the following 4 questions:
A. What is the title of the article, the name of the first author, the journal where the article was published, and the year it was published? (10 points)

B. What is the research question for the article? (30 points)

C.  What is the hypothesis for the article? What is the null hypothesis? (30 points)

D.  Is the study analyzing retrospective and/or prospective data?  How did you make this determination? (30 points)
