Instruction For The Paper

It is a total 10 pages paper, including a 3 pages movie review for the movie Resident Evil and 7 pages analysis essay.

For the first 3 ~4 pages, you need to watch the movie Resident Evil, and just write a movie review about the settings, the characters and eventually come up a situation that humans are going to face to in the future(the dangers of virus or biochemical weapons which is the main idea).

The second one is based on the movie review. Another 6~7 pages is about what is the purpose of the movie review? Who will be the audience of the movie review? Where will it be published? The essay will analyze in detail the rhetorical situation of the movie review and also explain why the review was constructed the way it was to effectively convey the stated purpose and message.

Important things for the essay:

1. You must clearly (and with details) summarize the rhetorical situation for the movie review? Rhetor, Purpose, Message (Medium & Genre), Audiences, Historical/Cultural Context.

2. You must clearly state what ethos he/she will adopt for the situation?

3. You must provide ample detail and specifics about the demographics and psychographics of the target audience and clearly spent time analyzing the audience.

4. You must clearly describe the medium to be used for this project and list specific conventions expected of texts in this medium which is a movie review.

5. You must clearly describe the genres to be used for this movie review and list specific conventions expected of texts in this genre.

6. You must clearly describe his/her purpose for creating the text.

Tips: please do some researches about biochemical weapon which develops so fast since World War 2. And why the movie can be real in the future?
