Part 1) Answer question 1- 4
Part 2) Mini Paper
This is the third of three mini-papers you are required to complete during the course. Recall: The paper is an opportunity for the student to demonstrate their comprehension of the course material and to apply it to the situation presented. The paper is also an opportunity for the student to demonstrate composition skills. Feedback will be provided for both content and composition.
These special Mini-Paper questions are NOT to be answered in the Conferences. The one-page response is to be submitted as a MS WORD document in your Assignment Folder by the due date specified.
Format: One full page, headed with the student’s name. Narrative must be double spaced, with 1 inch margins, written in #12 font. References from the reading materials must be cited in the narrative (page number). For some Mini-papers, outside sources will be required; to be cited in APA format on a separate page.
Mini-Paper #3:
The goal is to understand better the problems and the most effective strategies for supervising particular offender groups. These groups often include female offenders, sex offenders, elderly or geriatric offenders, substance-abusing offenders, juvenile offenders, and offenders with mental health problems.
Read at least one article about one of these special-needs populations from the journal Federal Probation, which has relatively short (less than 10 pages) and uncomplicated articles on the challenges of these populations.
