The Chosen Option 4:  Traditional Literature Review

According to this option, the students are required to select a topic related to career planning or development. There is a wide range of the possible variants, but I settled for “Literature Review: The Selection of the Right Career.”

The Rationale for the Selection of Option 4 and the Topic

Although the primary goal of every education system is to enlighten, the acquisition of academic and professional skills which lead to careers is a major and intrinsic objective. I have been schooling to become a prominent person in society after pursuing a career of my choice in the future. Itis not an isolated vision or desire. Many individualsstudy so that they can pursue glamorous careers that will guarantee them a secure and prosperous life. As such, career planning and, in particular, career selection is a pertinent issue. Given the impactthat career selection has on the lives of many people, especially the students, I decided to explore the topic exhaustively by reviewing literature.

How I Will Accomplish It

I will complete Option 4 by reviewing a wide range of literature which will be from published secondary sources. I will first explore the readingsto deduce their key findings and conclusions before I embark on writing. Most importantly, writing the literature review will involve the comparison of different views on certain aspects of career planning and selection from variousscholars.

Any topic on career selection has thousands of opinions written about it. To ensure I rely only on credible and reliable assumptions, I will use peer-reviewed sources. Theyinclude journal articles that were published in the recent years. In addition, I will utilize one or two books.
