What are the major forms of Islam in China today? What ethnic groups are Muslim and where are they located geographically? What makes the Hui a distinct category?

It will be graded on (1) your mastery of the material, (2) analysis and synthesis of the readings, (3) cogent use of examples from the readings to support your discussion, (4) clarity of style, and (5) sophistication of argument.
