Feminist Theory Reader: Local and Global Perspectives (2010)pp 80-142

2. Look at putting definitions of feminist theory into context and define some of the debates contained in the readings. We will look at feminist theory as a movement. Is feminist theory a tool for social change? Why or why not? Recall that your overarching task is to define the central tenets of this week’s reading. Also, describe your scholarly reaction to the material, especially as it relates to your definition of feminist theory coming into the course.

3. Use specific readings from McCann and Kim (2010) to support your thesis. This is essentially your task for each week’s forum essay.
