Using the written, visual, and lecture-based tools
that have been supplied during the course of this grading period, you are
to perform a close reading of an image and provide an original analysis
that is not limited by the artist’s intent or contextual research that
you may unearth. Located on the course website is a PDF entitled
“ANALYTIC PAPER: Slideshow†that contains nineteen slides. You must
choose one of these slides to be the focal point of your examination, but
you are also invited to use other images from this PDF or the other course
slide shows to create a basis for comparison.
